?
A: $8000 will be paid to you from a fund set up by the Federal Government. It is a limited fund, so the opportunity exists now to take advantage of it right now and purchase a solar power renewable energy system.

A: They are a renewable energy certificate that are worth up to $44 per "rec". You will receive approx 20 recs per KW dependent on your postcode. Under the system you are encouraged to generate renewable energy and sell back the excess to your utility. While rebates and rates vary, you may be paid up to $860 per 1 KW system.

A: You are now paid 44 cents per KW (up from 15cents per KW) for the power you "feed in" the the power network. It will appear as a credit on your electricity bill. There are conditions, such as the installation being completed by an accredited installer. Under the arrangement you will have another meter installed which records the amount of power running backwards in the power network. Savings on your electricity bill can be as high as 25% per year based upon on a 1 KW system.

Q: What paperwork is required?
A1: "Residential application for pre approval". This will be filled out for you once the deposit is paid and sent to Canberra with relevant ID (car licence, rates notice).
